Teaching Assistant

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Lambeth

Sugarman Education are currently looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a school based in Lambeth, South London.
Are you looking for a new challenge? We are looking for an dynamic teaching assistant who can support SEN students.
Role:
The ideal candidate will support the student on a 1:1 basis, under the direction of the teacher. Your key responsibility would be to support and develop the child in their learning and communication. You will also need to help the teacher with preparing lessons and activities. There are 7-8 students in a class, along with 3-4 support staff in the classroom. The children all have Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties. This is a full time role, Monday to Friday from 08:30 start to 4pm.
School:
The school caters for students with Autism and Behaviour Difficulties from primary to secondary age. The team are really supportive and also provide on-site training.

Requirements:
*Experience working in schools
*Experience working in an SEN setting
*Available full time from 08:30 – 4pm
*Valid DBS or willing to do a DBS through Sugarman Education
