A school in Leyton is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team at an Outstanding School. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with the class teacher to support individual students’ learning needs.
Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with a variety of special educational needs.
Implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and supporting students’ progress towards their goals.
Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in English or a related field
Proven experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
A passion for education and a commitment to making a positive impact on students’ lives.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

Experience working in a primary school setting.
Knowledge of specific SEN conditions or strategies.
First Aid qualification.
