An outstanding mainstream school in Leyton East London is looking for an SEN TA.

As a SEN TA, you will play a vital role in supporting children with varying needs, including autism, ADHD, and Down syndrome. Your primary responsibilities will include providing one-to-one support and assisting in the classroom to facilitate a positive and inclusive learning experience for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored one-to-one support for students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
Assist the class teacher in creating and implementing effective teaching strategies and learning activities.
Support the inclusion of students with SEN in all classroom activities and school events.
Help to create a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students feel valued and encouraged.
Monitor and record the progress of students, providing feedback to the class teacher and SEN Coordinator.
Assist with personal care and mobility needs where necessary.
Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional development.
Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to each child’s education and well-being.
Skills:
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly autism, ADHD, and Down syndrome.
A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to the varying needs of students.
Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent).
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
Experience using specific SEN strategies and interventions (e.g., TEACCH, PECS, or sensory integration techniques).
Experience in caring for vulnerable people
