Role Overview:
We are looking for several compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant’s to join the team on a full-time basis. You will provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, working 1:1 or 2:1 with pupils across both primary and secondary age groups. Needs include ASD, SLD, PMLD, and emotional/behavioural challenges. Flexibility is key, as you may be required to move between classes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Provide one-on-one or small group assistance during lessons and activities.
Assist with personal care tasks such as toileting, feeding, and mobility when required.
Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Help implement behaviour management strategies.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student progress.
Maintain a safe and organised learning space.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to undertake relevant training and development.
