We are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and supportive team. This is a full-time role, working one-to-one with one of the five children who will be joining the school in September, all with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Your role will be crucial in ensuring they receive tailored support that enables them to thrive.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children with autism (both verbal and non-verbal).
A strong understanding of autism and the strategies needed to support individual learning and communication needs.
Experience in delivering personalised interventions to children with special educational needs.
Excellent communication skills, patience, and a positive attitude.
A collaborative approach, working closely with teachers, parents, and specialists to provide the best support.
Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated one-to-one support to children with EHCPs.
Implement tailored strategies to support learning, engagement, and social interaction.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure effective learning plans are followed.
Assist in developing communication skills for both verbal and non-verbal students.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels supported.
