Sugarman Health and Wellbeing is currently seeking a support worker to provide complex Clinical care to a Female client in the Middlesbrough Area. * Please note that this vacancy is only open to female applicants due to the personal care required for a vulnerable adult as permitted under the Equality Act 2010 *

The client has a diagnosis of Cerebral palsy, Asthma, Scoliosis, Gastric reflux, Severe learning disability, apnoea (Day and Night). Support workers are also required to assess all respiratory needs and action concerns following the care plan & protocols in place.

Enhanced DBS checks & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client. Training will be delivered face – face by the Clinical Nurse Manager for that area.

This may include:

  • Assistance with all personal cares
  • Support with all daily activities
  • Assistance with all moving & handling needs
  • Medication administration
  • Monitoring of health & well-being daily
  • Clinical tasks following care plan & protocols.
  • Documentation

Our client actively visits a day centre most weekdays. This will require staff to support her needs when attending. Activities in the home are required to support the client`s health & well-being each day following a structured plan in place. The ideal candidate will have interpersonal skills, be compassionate, resilient, and keen to make a real difference in someone’s life.

The support hours of care are:

08.00 – 20.00 day time

20.00 – 08.00 night time
