We are excited to be able to offer this exciting SEN Teaching Assistant role at a secondary school in South London. The school are looking for passionate and capable graduate who has strong literacy and numeracy skills who can support pupils through challenging topics in the lead up to assessment this academic year.
Requirements:
Be eligible to work in the UK
Have experience of working with children
Be familiar with the UK curriculum
Possess two valid references
Overseas qualified teachers/assistant are welcome to apply
Overview:
Leading small groups in academic interventions (in your specialist subject)
Providing 1-1 support to students in full class settings
Providing mentoring and emotional support to students who may be finding school challenging
Providing support to students with a range of special educational needs including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Dyslexia as well as physical disabilities
On occasion, stepping in and covering full classes in the absence of their permanent teacher
