The SEN school based in the London Borough of Lambeth is looking for 2 x Classroom Assistants to join their team on a long-term basis from November 2024. The role will be working on a 1:1 basis supporting children within the mainstream classroom and Autism Unit.
Experience of working with children or adults with SEN, particularly autism (ASD/ASC) and/or profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) is a MUST.
Experience using PECS (picture exchange communication system), Makaton (Language communication program) is desirable,
The role will involve working with pupils that are living with ASD and/or PMLD Assisting students in their learning both on a 1-1 and group basis. Some aspects of personal care is required.
