Teaching Assistant / Support Assistant – SEN Boys School (Full Time)
Are you a confident and compassionate Teaching Assistant (TA) or Learning Support Assistant looking to make a real impact in the lives of young people with social, emotional, and behavioural needs?
We’re recruiting for a full-time Support Assistant / TA to join a specialist all-boys school in South London, supporting pupils aged 5 to 19 across both primary and secondary phases. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for SEN and a desire to work in a dynamic, structured, and supportive environment.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 4:00pm
Location: South London
Start Date: ASAP
Your role as a Teaching Assistant / Support Assistant will include:
Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in and out of the classroom
Assisting with lesson delivery and pupil engagement across various age groups
Using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) techniques to promote positive outcomes
Providing cover support across the school as needed
Desirable but not essential:
Team Teach training or experience
Experience with PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) approaches
We’re looking for a TA / Support Assistant who:
Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEN or SEMH
Is confident, resilient, and enthusiastic
Holds a valid DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply for one through us)
Can provide two employment references covering the last 24 months
