We are currently seeking a compassionate, proactive, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school that values innovation, empathy, and teamwork.
๐ฏ Your Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with diverse needs including:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Speech and Language Difficulties
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties
You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to create a safe, engaging, and personalised learning environment.
๐ Key Responsibilities
Targeted Support: Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual EHCPs and learning goals. Collaborative Planning: Work alongside class teachers and the SENCO to adapt lessons and resources.
Emotional & Social Development: Foster independence, resilience, and confidence in pupils through a trauma-informed approach.
Behavioural Support: Promote positive behaviour and engagement using nurturing strategies.
Progress Monitoring: Contribute to assessments, reviews, and the development of support plans.
Inclusive Practice: Help create a classroom culture where every child feels seen, heard, and valued.

What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting children with SEN in an educational setting.
Strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Diploma) are desirable but not essential.
